UNESCO World Heritage Sites are some places that are classified by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as being of unique cultural or physical importance. Buildings, cities, complex, desert, forest, island, lake, monument, or mountain Can be placed on the list.Iran is the home to a considerable number of such treasures as an ancient country in the Asia. Also, Iran has got several already inscribed there and many more on the waiting list. These legacies are inherited from our ancestors since several centuries ago. Iran has 24 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including 22 cultural sites and two natural that are listed in the table below.
